History Milly Bogovic, qualified music teacher and accordion player, has been teaching since 1975 individually as well as in groups. She has founded the “Ziach Musicians” in January 2000, a real unique concept with the so called “Steierische Harmonika” (authentical Austrian accordion). This accordion needs special skills: pushing and pulling is required in order to generate another music tone. It is a very common instrument in Alp countries like Austria, North-Italy and Slovenia. For many years this accordion has been played with successfully in Western low countries. The Ziach Musicians play in their homeland as well as abroad. Not seldom you can come across their announcements on posters and billboards with the text: “…..Ziach Musicians will play for you….” Features of their concerts: “Ocarina-festival 2003”: Great performance in Slovenia with recording by the National Broadcast Organisation. A very special and impressive meeting with Slavko Avsenik (and Oberkrainers), the master of folk music in Slovenia. Milly Bogovic has received his personal respect, congratulations and admiration for her arrangements of his music compositions; 2005: Ziach Musicians on tour in the northern regions of Italy, St. Lorenzen, performance with Heinold, a national celebrity; performances with Slovenian-Italian culture department via Venice to Cormons, Triëst and Opicina, occasionally a very unique cooperation; Special concert journey to Mayrhofen, the “music heart” of Tirol, Austria, in August 2007. For musicians and their supporters a very impressive experience; And last but not least: playing music together with celebrities like “Die Zillertaler”, Marc Pircher, Louis Plattner, Ursprung Buam and Hubert Klausner in the week of the “Almrosen-Party 2009” in Austria, Defereggental, Ost-Tirol, live broadcasted by ORF and Radio Ost-Tirol. This was a real happening with “capitals” in the most beautiful part of Tirol!
